Human resources management

In general, I am of the opinion that it is much better to work on the system than on the employees. This is the only way to enable sustainable, long-lasting change in your company. In the process of organizational design, human resources management means the effective and efficient use of employees. And effective, in turn, means making employees so fit for their jobs that they can fully and, above all, better develop their individual potential.

How do we approach this puzzle together?

An example: Remember our example with the bakery?

It is in the interest of every entrepreneur to create an environment in which employees feel comfortable and which offers an incentive to stay long-term.

A central area for this is so-called competence management. The aim is to find out two things exactly:

What competencies does our bakery need in order to be able to handle all the necessary, effectively defined processes. What competencies, i.e. knowledge, skills, training, do the employees need in order to be confidently involved in these processes.

This is about something very important:

Competence in all areas is the prerequisite for maintaining the business viability of your company.

Now we're back in the middle of it all.

Before the bakery purchases all the important machines for the automation process, it is essential to answer three questions about the employees:

Are the competent employees already in the company who are now supposed to operate all the machines? Do we first have to look for employees with the necessary competence and, above all, where can they be found? Do we first have to train and further train staff from within our own ranks? Are you ready to take the step into the future?

Short excursion (also applies to the bakery):

Money plays an important role everywhere in life. Everyone wants to be compensated appropriately for a service. But in the world of work there is a key difference between pay and reward.

Be and stay authentic

Over the years in human resources management, I have found that leading employees should, above all, be authentic and natural. It's not about "playing" the role of boss or superior as best as possible, but rather about being credible. The man at the dough kneading machine notices whether his boss is a good baker and can knead dough himself. If you can't knead dough, you should have the courage to say: "I can't do it, but you can do it really well, that's why I'm so glad you're with us."

It's clear:

Every organization needs its own leadership style. So you can't place HR management at a bakery like a blueprint over a service provider and then hope that it works. It's guaranteed not to work. I can help you find the way to good human resources management. This will make your company more successful in the future.

For example, it is important that every organization has a well-functioning reward system.

"Delayed optimization is success denied."
